Welcome to 'Glass Onion: On John Lennon', a podcast deep dive into the music and complex psychology of an icon who lived many lifetimes within his 40 years. Episode 3 is the first of a 2-part interview with ex and current member of The Quarrymen, Rod Davis. As well as talking about the early days of the group and commenting on the teenage John Lennon, we also talk about music teaching in schools, Liverpool's history up to the 1950s and begin discussing the famous Woolton Village Fete of 6th July 1957 (much more on that in the second part). The photo is from that day with John Lennon and his Elvis quiff seated in the centre and Rod standing on the right
